Here we present our newest student Amrit Dura, age 25, with his SAR dog Uttam, an one year old mixed breed between German Shepherd and ...who knows who?. We suspect our Dunston very much. His mark is to see on Uttam's chest! No one saw actually what happened during the time our already 11 years old retired German Shepherd SAR Dog Susie got hot un-noticed
Amrit is born north of Shyauli Bazaar / Lamjung in the Dura Village of Turlung.
He belongs to the ethnic minority of the last of the· "Mohican's".
These +/- 5000 ethnic people are of course not the legendary American Mohican's. That is a joke .

Actually the Dura·are perhaps the smallest tribe in Nepal. There is only one elderly Dura woman alive today who speaks
the Dura language.
If you want to know more about the Dura, then get in contact with Karna Bahadur Dura in Kathmandu. He is one of the main researchers·in Nepal who tries to bring the ancient Dura culture in chart.
Amrit came to Himalaya Rescue Dog Squad Nepal's own Riverside School for Children of Rescue Workers in Sundarijal, Zone Bagmati in Kathmadu Valley in 1993 at age 9 and went also to our school in Shyauli Bazaar later on when we shifted to here and build our own school which is now functioning as our Search and Rescue Dog Handlers Academy.
After Amrit passed SLC class 10 he went to college for two years and further continued University for a bachelor degree in humanities. Who goes around comes around. We are happy to have him back home.
·· This is Uttam...he is cute!······················································································ This was Amrit as a little boy at our school· in Sundarijal...cool, yes?
