The Thorung La is one of the highest trekking passes in the world with an elevation of 5,416 meters (17,769 ft) above sea level  in central Nepal. The pass is located on a trail which connects the village of Manang to the east, with the temple of Muktinath in the Mustang District  to the west. Thorung La Pass is the highest point on the Annapurna Circuit, a 300 km (190 miles) route around the Annapurna mountain range. Wherever in Nepal you wish to trek, don't do this alone.
