Under Nagin Thada's care: SAR Dog Laxmi needs a strong hand

Physically the mixed breed Laxmi is our most powerful SAR Dog

Dutch SAR dog handler Lydia van Wyngaerden discovered the adult female mixed breed between

German Shepherd & Belgian Malinois in the city Asylum of Roermond in the south of The Netherlands.
In October 2008 Daniela Neika brought the nameless beauty along with 3 other young dogs to Nepal.
Our dog handlers gave her the name Laxmi.
No name could be more fitting for her by being lucky

enough to be rescued from containment and finding a new home so beautiful and spacious as Nepal.

Laxmi loves water.
During training she is a hard worker. She learns very fast and no one is able to

hide from her very long no matter how far away and how deep into the forest he runs.
Her speciality
is detecting people in a tree or under the ground.
One can hear her powerful bark from almost half

a mile away when she calls for her handler to tell him that she found her "victim".
